Paul Silk
Clerk of the National Assembly for Wales from 2001 to 2007, he later chaired the Commission on Devolution to Wales from 2011 to 2014, appointed by the Cameron government. Now an honorary professor at the Wales Governance Centre, Cardiff University, he supports parliamentary development worldwide — when not enjoying the Bannau Brycheiniog.

Leanne Wood
Served as a Member of the Senedd for 18 years (2003–2021), including six as leader of Plaid Cymru (2012–2018). A lifelong republican and socialist, she remains steadfast in these beliefs. She was a commissioner on the Constitutional Commission for Wales, co-chaired by Professor Laura McAllister and Dr Rowan Williams, which delivered its unanimous report in January 2024.

David Melding
Elected to the inaugural National Assembly for Wales in 1999, David served as the Welsh Conservative Party's Director of Policy from 2000 to 2011 and as a Senedd member for South Wales Central until retiring in 2021. He was Deputy Presiding Officer (2011–2016) and chaired several committees, including Health and Social Care and Legislation and Constitutional Affairs.
He authored Will Britain Survive Beyond 2020? (2009) and The Reformed Union: The UK as a Federation (2013) and is currently working on his third book, Wales in an Age of Disunion.
